Guided tours to the Benicia Historical Museum are a great way to spend an afternoon in Benicia!
All tours include the main Museum Gallery featuring artifacts and storyboards: from the Native Patwin tribes of Solano County, the founding of Benicia, California Statehood, The Benicia Arsenal, Industrialization, to the arts in Benicia.
Tours can be booked for groups of 10 or more people. Tours can be
scheduled outside Museum hours, Tuesdays to Fridays between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM.
The time allowed for a tour to the Museum is 1 to 1 1/2 hours. The Museum is handicap accessible.
If your group is interested in visiting the Powder Magazine allow another 1/2 hour. The Powder Magazine is located about a quarter mile from the Museum. The Powder Magazine is not handicap accessible.
If your groups is interested in visiting the Industrial Exhibit please allow an additional 1/2 hour. The Industrial Exhibit is on the same level as the lower Museum entrance and Museum Office. The Industrial Exhibit is handicap accessible.
